GOP walkout in Salem protects parents rights

The way the Oregon Republican state senators are sacrificing their elected office and careers for child safety and protecting parents rights to protect their children is commendable.
HB 2002 is a law that promotes abortion and child abuse (especially for sex traffickers) and strips parents of parental rights! This law allows any child of any age from any state or country to get an abortion without parental consent or notification and it is 100% paid for by Oregon taxpayers.
Democrats are also using this bill to repeal a law that prevented a mother of a newborn from concealing the birth of a live or dead baby.
Why Democratic lawmakers are refusing to negotiate such a horrendous piece of legislation is very difficult to understand.
Thank you, Republican state senators, for putting all Oregon kids and parents first.

So much of the charm of this region is that from any point in which you travel around the valley you can see mountains from every vantage.
I was told by people who had lived here all their lives that the City Council in Medford did not allow building above four stories. Why then is the new Asante women, children, birthing structure being allowed to build to six stories?
It seems they could build two four-story structures and have even more space, while remaining within the intent to keep mountains within view.

In the November 2022 election, Oregonians passed — by a 68%-32% margin — Measure 113, which mandates that legislators accumulating 10 or more unexcused absences be barred from re-election. This now would apply to 10 senators who walked out of the current session. Republicans plan to challenge the intention and implementation of M113 in court.

The way the Oregon Republican state senators are sacrificing their elected office and careers for child safety and protecting parents rights to protect their children is commendable. Yes....this is commendable. So is the patriotic civic
duty of standing up to and resisting the treasonous Bolshevik legislators in Salem, Oregon! I stand in 100% solidarity with you. ---James A. Farmer Klamath County, Oregon
